The Scottish kilt is a tailored garments that owning unique design. It’s wrapped around wearer’s waist and fastened by straps and buckles. Besides, the kilt is knee-length. There are overlapping layers in front which called "aprons", and a kilt pin often places in front it for fixing. It depends on the wearers whether they want to put on their underwear or not. By military regulations, sometimes underwear is not allowed to wear under the kilt because traditionally, there is a saying goes- "true Scotsman" should wear nothing under his kilt.” What's more, competitors should wear kilts in Highland dancing and bagpipingthe competitions due to the rules.
